The Lord reminded me the other day that He is never late. His ways are higher than mine. His timing is not like man’s timing.
Be encouraged, my friends. God has heard your cries. Justice is coming.
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:7-8 NIV
When I read the Parable of the Pesistent Widow, I took comfort in the words of Jesus when he said “He will see that they get justice, and quickly.”
But the last part of verse 8 is what made me take a hard look at my faith “when the Son of man comes, will he find faith in the earth?”
I still have faith, but is it burning hot? Or have I become lukewarm? Have my unanswered prayers cooled the fire in me?
In the “waiting”, am I allowing myself fall asleep in complacency or disappointment because God‘s hand didn’t move according to the deadline I had in mind?
I ask myself ‘Is this really the time for me to scale back on my fervent prayers?’
NOOOOOO! Father, stir up my spirit and refresh my soul! Now is NOT the time for me to shrink back in my faith! Now is the time to stand firm on my faith in the GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE!
Lord, I don’t know how You’re going to do it. I don’t know when You’re going to do it. That is none of my business. My assignment is to keep praying, keep declaring and decreeing Your Word and keep trusting in You.
NEVER.STOP.PRAYING.
