Every morning, after my Coffee and Jesus time, my fur babies will look at me with excitement running through their little bodies and they will follow me throughout the house as I get dressed for the day. They know when it’s time to go for their morning walk.
Lately, I’ve been taking them to the under-developed area in my neighborhood. There’s seldom any traffic and although I still am aware of my surroundings, I am also able to get lost in conversation with the LORD.
Sometimes I listen to my playlist and sing along as I worship the LORD. Sometimes I just enjoy God’s creation around me: trees, birds, bunnies and the occasional deer.
My latest mission during these walks is praying over every household in the neighborhood, mainly…the children.
There’s no need to tell you what has been coming against parents and their children these days. You know. The devil is no longer hiding in the shadows. He is working in plain sight. It is past time for us to stand and fight in the spiritual realm.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:19-20 that where two or more agree on anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven . Will you join me in prayer today? And as we pray over my area of influence, which is my home and my neighborhood/city, I will join my faith with yours as you pray over your home and your neighborhood/city.
Before we begin to intercede on behalf of our neighbors and our loved ones, let us put on the ARMOR OF GOD which is found in Ephesians 6.
(I will) be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. (I) Put on the full armor of God, so that you (I) can take your (my) stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, (I) put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you (I) may be able to stand your (my) ground, and after you (I) have done everything, to stand. (I) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your (my) waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your (my) feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, (I) take up the shield of faith, with which you (I) can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (I) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And (I) pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, (I will) be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Now, we are ready to pray.
Deliver us from evil, LORD. Father, we cry out to you and lift up those whom the evil one is trying to devour. (1Peter 5:8)
Your word says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
What weapons are these LORD?? You’re HOLY WORD from the Bible!! We take those weapons and speak them into the atmosphere!
THIS is what Your Son, Jesus, was talking about when He said in Luke 10:19 that He has given us AUTHORITY (emphasis mine) to trample on snake and scorpions. The snakes and the scorpions are satan!
BUT GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN US THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD! (1 John 4;4)
So we take up the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT and use the authority JESUS has given us and speak against the plans the enemy has designed to destroy our children and their parents.
I pray in agreement with my brothers and sisters that are praying for the innocents and the lost and broken.
Father, I lift up every child in my sphere of influence. I pray for an angelic force to surround them and protect them from anything that will corrupt their life.
We decree that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for the ones whom the enemy has caused great confusion about their identity. LORD, you created them male and female. You did not make a mistake. They are not a mistake. No, LORD, they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Father, we speak against and bind the chaos and confusion that the enemy has stirred up in the minds of these innocents and we speak and loose Your very presence into their lives.
We demolish all arguments and every pretension that has set itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
And to the one who is guilty of abusing or corrupting any of these these little ones, these innocent ones, it will be better to have a heavy boulder tied around his neck and be hurled into the deepest sea than to face the punishment he deserves! Misery will come to the one who lures people away into sin. Troubles and obstacles to (people’s) faith are inevitable, but great devastation will come to the one guilty of causing others to stumble!” (Matthew 18:6-7)
Father, we pray for the parents/guardians of these innocents. Empower them by Your Holy Spirit to discern the wiles of the enemy that may attempt to operate in the lives of their children. Embolden them to stand against and say NO to what society says is okay for them to witness or experience.
And to those who are in positions of authority but have aligned their morals with the evil one, we come into agreement with God’s plan for their removal from office.
Father, we join in with the call You have placed on some of Your children to rise up and take their place in areas of influence on school boards, city councils, governorships, etc. In the name of Jesus, we call forth those parents/guardians for Your Glory and for the safety of our children.
Father we pray Matthew 6:10 over the nations:
Your Kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.
We pray this in Jesus name, amen.
