Clothed with MERCY

Thank you, Abba Father, for extending mercy to me. My prayer for today is that I, in turn, will extend mercy to those around me.
The LORD recently whispered to me: EVERYONE IS REDEEMABLE. Yes, even those who may have acted in an unethical way. I sensed Holy Spirit urging me to withhold my self righteous indignation and judgement and be open to love and accept her and offer her mercy.
I remember thinking to myself “She deserves another chance. Just like God gave me. How could I not give her less than what God has given me?
Let God have His way!
Abba, help us to put the past behind us and run the race You have marked out of each of us. (Hebrews 12:1b)
I decree:
No revenge.
Just MERCY.
Father, in Jesus’ name, we bind the enemy that strives to keep old wounds afresh. I pray that you would heal and remove any and all soul wounds of “yesterday-year”. And in its place, I pray, that you fill us with an overflowing amount of grace and mercy. So much that we have enough for us to receive for ourselves and enough for us to extend to others.
What better way to bring reformation into an area that was filled with shadows and deceit than to take MERCY into that “room” with you; how much better is it to show the world what MERCY looks like than to extend mercy to the one whom others have deemed unworthy.
LORD, I pray that YOU have Your way in that “room”
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” Matthew 5:7
Another whisper from the LORD came at a time of great frustration and anger. As I prayed for peace within me, Holy Spirit showed me how I should be praying. “Pray FOR them, not AGAINST them.
“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians 3:12-15 NLT
Father, I clothe myself with tender hearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and love. Help me to act justly and to love mercy and walk humbly with You.
“For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:13
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NIV
I decree that today will mark the day as a new beginning. A fresh new start.
“This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 AMPC
LORD, as I step into this wilderness that You have called me to, may Your very presence be made manifest. May Your peace fall on all who I come into contact with. Father, You are in the midst of it all and I release Your blessings over those who cross my path today.
May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” – Psalm 115:15
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” Romans 12:14
No judgement.
No revenge.
Just MERCY.
In Jesus name, amen.
You are loved,
Seek His Goodness
